White belt 6th Kyu
Defences from attacks to the head, attacks to be downwards blow, side blows and straight punches to the face.
Defences from front and rear bear hugs with and without arm pinned.
Defences from front and rear strangulation's.
Defences from front and rear hair pulls.
Plus to complete breakfalls and rolls.
Note all defences to be show on the right and left side.
3 defences for adults and 1 defence for children.
Yellow Belt 5th Kyu
Defences from lapels held with one hand and then two hands.
Defences from lapels held with blows to the head they will be side blows, downward blows and straight punches
Defences from both hands being restrained from the front and then the rear.
Defences from the attacker pulling your shoulder from the rear with and without a blow
Defences from the attacker pulling your sleeve/wrist from the rear with and without a blow.
Plus breakfalls and rolls
Plus Block sequences
Plus 4 basic kicks with variations of the front kick.
Plus random Attacks. Attacks will be from 6th and 5th Kyu syllabus.
Plus first three kneeling movements of Kime No Kata.
Plus to show the entire 6th Kyu syllabus.
Note all defences to be show on the right and left side.

Orange Belt 4th Kyu
Defences from kicks, low, midrange and high kicks
Plus from arm up the back (three Variations)
Plus defences from strangulation's whilst being pinned against a wall
Plus defences from strangulation's whilst being held down on the floor
Plus defences from side head lock with and without a blow to the face
Plus defences from forearm nelson hold
Plus defences from kicks whilst on the floor
Note all defences to are x 3 for adults and x 1 for juniors
Plus to demonstrate five basic Judo throws
Plus to demonstrate the first three movements from first form Aikido
Plus to show the three Aikido movements practically
Plus First six movements of Kime No Kata and to know the relevant Japanese terminology
Plus random attacks
Green Belt 3rd Kyu
Defences from weapon attacks, weapons to be cosh, knife and flexible weapon. Defences will be from downward blows, side blows, and ice pick attacks, thrusts and reverse hand attacks.
Plus defences from two man attacks, attacks will be wrists restrained, arms restrained, arms restrained front and rear and then one holding at the rear and one attacking at the front.
Plus to demonstrate defences incorporating five Judo techniques.
Plus to demonstrate the first five movements from Aikido first form
Plus to show the Aikido movements practically
Plus to demonstrate eight kneeling and two standing movements of Kime No Kata
Plus to have a reasonable knowledge of Atemi Waza's and to know the relevant Japanese terminology.
Plus random attacks
Blue Belt 2nd Kyu
Weapon defences a minimum of six will be required against the following weapons, knife, cosh/stick, flexible weapon, and gun. They will be done from various attacks and also close quarter.
Plus ten combination techniques
Plus ten counter techniques
Plus ten immobilization techniques
Plus ten Judo Techniques
Plus defences from three men attacks
Plus to demonstrate form one Aikido, basic and practical applications
Plus kicks, and strikes up to 3rd Kyu Karate syllabus
Plus to demonstrate eight kneeling and eight standing movements of Kime No Kata
Plus to demonstrate Atemi Waza, pressure point’s etc. In three modes
Competence in a line up or circle
Brown Belt 1st Kyu
Weapon defences minimum of fifteen will be required against the following weapons, knife, cosh/stick, flexible weapon, gun. They will be done from various attacks and also close quarter.

Plus fifteen Judo techniques
Plus fifteen throwing techniques

Plus to demonstrate Atemi Waza, pressure point’s etc. In three modes. Minimum 75.
Plus to have a reasonable first aid knowledge
Plus a good knowledge of the relevant Japanese terminology
Competence in a line up or circle
Black Belt 1st Dan
Weapon attacks minimum of twenty will be required against the following weapons, knife, cosh/stick, flexible weapon, and gun. They will be done from various attacks and also close quarter.

Plus forty throwing techniques
Plus to demonstrate form one and two Aikido, basic and practical applications
